Day #3

1. Have been fretting for months as to how we can transport 2 adults, 3 babies and tones of luggages to LAX. Thought about installing a roof rack, hauling everything and squeezing everyone in our car to the airport and park the car there for weeks while we are gone, thought about the shuttle services but none offer infant/child car seats.... Finally after intense googling tonight, I think we found our solution. Praise God!

2. Thank God that I only had to climb up the stairs 2 times tonight to put the kids to bed.... Usually it ranges from 5 on a good day to a million times on a bad night!
Yup... I feel like this guy every night

3. I'm tired so I can't think of a third, but praise God that I've continued to do this 3 days in a row...

So Asher went "viral"...

 Woke up Saturday with the boys bringing their lego creations to the living room to create their typical weekend havoc. One of the Asher's new creations caught my eye. It was a tank (specifically a T-34), he was inspired by this WW2 book that he checked out from the library.  I was amazed by his ingenuity and his ability to different lego building techniques that he learned from other Lego sets to construct this. I picked it up and took a video of it.   I mean I was really impressed and wanted to share it with the world like a proud dad. My Heart is Full

 Last night was one of the rare nights where I woke up in the middle of the night and had trouble falling back to sleep. The reason was lame... I was looking forward to read more comments from my former students on my teacher appreciation related post from earlier today 😖😖😖 I guess what kept me up was the multiple conflicting emotions that is coming at my 3am brain from all directions. There was pride (the bad ego kind) - as the comments start to come and I found myself being a modern teenager being overly concerned about how many more comments I would get. There was concern - as I ponder over how I should respond to each comment from my former student so that they know they are all valued. Last but not least, it was a very full heart, the feeling of accomplishment, the feeling of joy and satisfaction to hear back from the kiddos from my past almost 13 years of teaching that they have been doing well. Yet another anti-climatic ending to the school year

Another year,  yet another anti-climatic ending to the school year. With COVID hitting Taiwan for reals this time, we went online for the last 3 weeks of school which is similar to last year (when we went online for the last 2 weeks of school).  Here's a last day of work outdoor morning devo pic and an extremely rare group photo of our HS staff  Some highlights for the fam this school year...
